Veritą is very popular amongst those who appreciate fuller bodied reds with
rich fruit flavor, dark colour and wonderfully dense smoky and spicy
characteristics. Our Veritą wine was produced from only the ripest of grapes
grown at the Lanoraie vineyard.
Winemaker's Notes
Rich black cherry, raspberry, light cassis, nice chocolate, oak and spice
notes. It is a big, ripe red wine, quite forward and capable of becoming an
even greater blockbuster in 5-10 years in a good cellar.
Serve with: grilled meats, wild game, richly flavored red meats, beef stew
and meat lover's pizza.

Reviews
"Appearance: Ruby. Nose:
Rich black cherry, raspberry, light cassis, nice oak/chocolate and spice
notes. Palate: Dryish with good acidity, midweight. Big wine is fuller on
the palate than on the nose, with rich mouthfeel, ripe tannins, deep fruit,
chocolate/earthy/spicy notes. Quite complex. Very long clean good finish.
Conclusions: Think of this as a Quebec answer to Australian Shiraz. Probably
capable of five to ten years in a good cellar, it is quite forward, quite
precocious. Use this where you would normally use a big ripe red wine. I
suspect that most people would never identify this as made in Quebec..."

"A beautiful and pleasant
surprise! Again, in light of tasting some of Vignoble Carone's wines, it is
clear that our Quebec winemakers, at the very least the most serious of
them, have gained experience and winemaking knowledge using the grape
varieties planted in Quebec. This 2006 vintage of Veritą from Vignoble
Carone eloquently illustrates this fact. This is not a monster of
complexity, but the red wine produced in Quebec, with the exuberant aromas
of cherries nut enhanced by notes of sorrel and a hint of wood, is very
pleasant to drink and deserves its 3 stars. From the freshness of the fruit,
soft tannins and flavours which boast a pleasant persistence. Definitely
discover this wine!" 3 stars Serve at 16°C. Pairs well with beef kebabs with
red peppers, grilled meats, red wine and orange marinated beef, grilled
chicken legs, and barbecue ribs.
